This material has been hand dyed using a traditional and very rare technique that has been passed down for generations by the the Mandinka People of Mail. It has been tye dyed and then Beaten which creates a shiny bronze glaze on the cotton damask fabric.  Traditionally this would have been worn as a Kaftan to a ceremonial event like a wedding. Luxurious and soft this fabric drapes very well this fabric is very special and like no other fabric you have seen before. Each piece is completely unique and any differences in pattern or should be considered a mark of authenticity. Each piece includes the whole pattern seen in the second photo twice.
